Clamping Force l Tightness l Tension
Comfort refers to how pleasant and enjoyable headphones are to wear for a long time. We measure the clamping force to see how comfort the headphones are. First, we set the headphones on a wooden stand that was secured to either side. The earcups are positioned so that pressure is evenly distributed across the center of each side and record the clamping force. Then, we try the headphones on a variety of individuals to see how comfortable the headphones might be to wear for a long time.
